Photo Booth Fun

On September 24, 2013 by Kasey Jones, Ink.

For my 30th Birthday my boyfriend gave me the best gift I could ask for – a generous budget to throw myself a party. A horrific thought to many, I know, but to me, being able to plan my own event and not have to pay for it is like THE best thing ever. The twinkle-lit backyard, Motown-on-repeat, family-filled affair boasted a giant Jenga set, all-you-can-eat taco bar, spiked lemonade stand, and Birthday Cake Ice Blendeds from the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Truck (which made a special appearance). Of all the fabulousness that ensued, however, the hit of the night was hands down the chalkboard photo booth. I originally made the chalkboard backdrop as a way to selfishly get photos to remember the night by. However, the makeshift photo booth was such a hit that several friends and family members have framed pictures from that night in their homes, and have hired me to make backdrops for their parties and events. (Two months later, my photographer friend Royal and my passion project CHALK SHOT was born).

The evening was filled with love, laughter and plenty of fun. But since, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll let the photos from the party do the talking:
