Rosti Santa Monica Revamp
You always remember your first…client that is! Rosti Tuscan Kitchen was one of my very first clients when I started KJI and I’ve always had a special place for them in my heart. They have a long chalk wall along a hallway and for my first job I drew a decorative Rosti’s inspired chicken coup scene. Now 4 years later, the owner and longtime friend of mine wanted a more classic black and white look that was still playful with a pop of color. The element of fun is important to him because the restaurant brings in ton of families in the area, and he wants the wall to be enjoyed by kids as well.
We came up with a concept to do large oversized images showcasing their menu offerings, ingredients, and provided Italian to English translations for all. The mural was so much fun that we extended the art to a display cooking counter in the center of the restaurant. We also freshened up the announcement board that displays their specials and restaurant happenings.
