XBOX at The Special Olympics World Games

This past week 6,500 athletes from 165 countries competed at The Special Olympic World Games in Los Angeles, CA. The Games are the largest sports and humanitarian event anywhere in the world in 2015, and the single biggest event in LA since the 1984 Olympic Games. XBOX, along with its parent company Microsoft, sponsored the occasion with large activation tents at The Special Olympic Festivals on both USC & UCLA campuses. Among the consoles featuring their popular sports and dance games, XBOX also provided an 8×8′ chalk wall where I was asked to provide a Live Art Activation experience. Both walls featured the XBOX and World Games logos, along with a Los Angeles cityscape and the school mascot of that tent’s location. Kasey Jones, Ink. artists were on site throughout the week to add accents to mural, and to assist athletes and guests with drawing their own art on the wall.
