TRAVELER by TOMS Launch Party

People around the world will go barefoot today in honor of TOMS’ “One Day Without Shoes Campaign”.  In its eighth year, this is TOMS’ founder Blake Mycoskie’s unique way of bringing awareness to children’s health and education by providing new shoes to children in need.  Every time a photo of bare feet is tagged on Instagram, TOMS will give another child a new pair of shoes.  The potential exists to donate shoes to a million children annually.  Pretty inspiring!

CHALK SHOT helped kick off this year’s One Day Without Shoes at the launch party for TOMS’ new resilient eyewear line, TRAVELER by TOMS. TRAVELER sunglasses, which come in two styles and a variety of poppy colors, were designed specifically to endure outdoor adventure, world travel and life-on-the-go. In that vein, we pimped out our CHALK SHOT booth with vintage travel-themed props including an old passport, a suitcase from the 50s, a wind-up airplane, a train and car toys. The event wasn’t just about fun photos, great tacos, table games and awesome vibes (courtesy of Jason Bentley). It was also about giving back. As with with their other eyewear styles, whenever a pair of TRAVELER sunglasses are purchased, TOMS helps give sight to a person in need.
