Plymouth Gin’s Cocktail & Oyster Pairing Media Dinner

Plymouth Gin gained popularity in the late 1800s when the British Royal Navy brought it on their ships sailing across the world. By the 1930s, Plymouth was the world’s largest volume brand of gin. It’s still the only gin around to be named in Savoy Cocktail Book, aka the bible of mixology. Today, Plymouth Gin thrives in part by hosting dinners that educate their consumers on the brand’s rich tradition and culture. Back in October, the Plymouth team asked that I create seat assignments for a Media Dinner hosted by the brand’s Master Distiller Sean Harrison at the Maison Premiere in Brooklyn, NY. At the event, Plymouth cocktails were paired with oyster dishes prepared by the restaurant’s chef.
